November 23, 2020 - The Quattro autopilot successfully demonstrated autonomous takeoff, waypoint tracking, and auto landing with minimal input from the user. The flight was conducted with Applied Navigation’s 760-size electric helicopter at a test site in rural Virginia. Applied Navigation’s waypoint tracking guidance is unique because it forward-predicts in time.
October 6, 2019 - Another milestone passed as Applied Navigation has begun flight testing of the new Quattro autopilot. Initial testing is with pilot steering mode shown here. The Quattro carrier board, SOM hardware, as well as navigation and control software are all exercised in this test.
