Our controller uses several innovative technologies to smoothly blend from hover to wing-borne flight. Quad-plane, tilt-rotor, and tilt-wing are supported. Payload Control in Vigilant SpiritJanuary 21, 2021 - Vigilant Spirit Control Station with Quattro autopilot and Orion gimbal Applied Navigation has successfully tested a new payload specific module for Vigilant Spirit Control Station. Vigilant Spirit is a Stanag-4586 compatible user interface that supports multiple vehicles, each with one or more payloads. Both vehicle and payload Level of Interoperability (LOI) are requested and granted according to the standard.

Quattro demonstrates fully autonomous missionNovember 23, 2020 - The Quattro autopilot successfully demonstrated autonomous takeoff, waypoint tracking, and auto landing with minimal input from the user. The flight was conducted with Applied Navigation’s 760-size electric helicopter at a test site in rural Virginia. Applied Navigation’s waypoint tracking guidance is unique because it forward-predicts in time.

Quattro Flight Test Progress

October 6, 2019 - Another milestone passed as Applied Navigation has begun flight testing of the new Quattro autopilot.    Initial testing is with pilot steering mode shown here.  The Quattro carrier board, SOM hardware, as well as navigation and control software are all exercised in this test.
